“Simon and Mike please accept my sincere thanks for all your help during the 2011 season without which I do not think we could have won the BARC pre 74 FF 1600 championship in my sons first full season of car racing.
As you will recall you designed and made new anti roll bars for the front and rear of our 1971 Elden mk8 and sorted out the correct spring rates for the car over the winter and in testing the car was much improved and top three results were achieved. Then on Simons recommendation we had the shock absorbers tested and reset to suit the car, the difference was stunning. Due to some early season engine issues we needed to be fastest in class in qualifying, win the class and set fastest race lap in the last four races.
We managed this with top three overall results at Oulton Park fosters circuit, Oulton International and Croft finishing the year with six class wins and five fastest laps and won the championship by 2 points.
On top of this we also had consistent top 10 finishes in the Historic FF 1600 championship and if a full season had been possible the car could of have got a top five in that championship as well.
So thanks again guys lets hope we can do the same in 2012.” Derek and James Buckton
I would highly recommend, and actively do, that anyone that is interested in making the best of their car handling to have a chat with Simon at cornering force so that you can tailor your car in the same way that mine has been. Dave Williams
Thanks very much to Cornering Force for revalving our dampers, supplying the front and rear blade ARB’s and helping us get the car set up with datalogged track testing. We really appreciated their involvement in helping us win the Tag Heuer award for fastest car up the hill at Goodwood. Jonny Milner Celica GT4 – Goodwood 2011
